Deputy President William Ruto has refuted claims that he was snubbed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Taking it to Twitter this Saturday, Ruto said he never left his office that particular day Uhuru was in Mombasa.
The second in command was reacting to a local newspaper which had run a headline that the DP had been snubbed.
The paper had alleged that Ruto was in Mombasa the same time Uhuru was in the coastal port city, but both held parallel meetings.
DP Ruto has then urged Kenyans not to be mislead by propaganda they read on some dailies.
“Kenyans should ignore this choreographed, paid-for propaganda nonsense. I was in the office the whole day never in Mombasa,” he tweeted.
Word in the air is saying DP Ruto and the President have fallen-out ahead of 2022.
However, Ruto has maintained that Uhuru has no intentions of staying in power beyond his second term.
