Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has confirmed that deputy president William Ruto’s allies will not be holding parallel BBI rallies with that been steered on by ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking today in Naivasha where Jubilee legislators had attended a meeting to come up with their way forward over the BBI, Murkomen said they have agreed to just support one BBI rally at a time.
“There is no parallel BBI rallies, there will only be one BBI rally at any given timem,” he said in a video shared by NTV
He said they will be attending all BBI rallies, starting from the next one which is set to be held either in Kitui or Meru.
The vocal Senator revealed that their agenda will be to ensure the BBI reaches everyone across the country.
“In Mombasa we there in large numbers and we shall be there in the next meeting, we are told it will be either in Kitui, Embu or Meru and because our contribution to this process is to ensure it reaches every part of the country,” he added
He concluded by welcoming other leaders including the President, Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, to also attend the rallies and build a bridge of friendship
“As written in out statement, we are enhancing the number of the rallies for everybody, we welcome the President, we welcome the deputy president , the leader of opposition and the leader of political parties across the country, we welcome them to this rallies because we want to build bridges of friends,” he concluded.
