Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, a Ugandan politician, businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, musician and actor, better known by the stage name Bobi Wine has finally been freed. This comes after he was detained on treason charges.
Presiding judge Justice Stephen Mubiru also granted bail to Arua Municipality MP-elect Kassiano Wadri, Jinja East MP Paul Mwiru, Ntungamo Municipality MP Gerald Karuhanga and a host of other political activists.
There has been a public uproar and protests in Uganda, Kenya and other countries in the bid to get Bobi Wine freed by the Ugandan government.
Bob Wine is to be flown to the United Kingdom for specialized treatment.
